Pinterest

I discovered Pinterest the other day from my friend Becky Smart. It is a virtual bulletin board. It is so simple to keep track of items I love that I have found on the web. Who doesn't love virtual shopping? I have nine categories so far.
Some pin pictures I have so far:

Crate and Barrel Geometric Art

I wanted to make my own bow out of magazine paper because I had no bows on hand! I think it turned out so cute!

Wire Words

Emily from Jones Design Company shared how to make these wired words and I was so excited to give it a try!  I think they are so cute to use to decorate a package, attach to a thank you card or just use on a frame!

{I'm giving this candle and wired word "Home" as a house warming gift to a friend}

{Tell a friend you are thankful for them}
{On a frame...isn't my nephew so cute}
{Mother's Day card to my mom}
Directions:

Step 1: Type words out with a cursive font. I used a cursive standard font and printed them out.

 Step two: Bend wire like you are writing in cursive. I bought my wire at Michaels in the jewelry section.
The wire I used
Step 3: Bend wire into a word and cut wire with scissors when done!
My first word

Have some fun with your words and I'm excited to pass mine out to my friends and family!

Thank you Emily for being so creative!

I had to make a few requests for the boys!

Turquoise Chevron Curtains

The prefect color and pattern
Here they are in black and white
Here they are in a smaller yellow color
I'm on the search for Turquoise Chevron Curtains for my living room. Currently we have turquoise sheers hanging up which I love but would love a solid panel for more privacy. We used to have solid turquoise curtains up from Restoration Hardware until my two year old Landon spilled his blackberry/strawberry smoothie on them and destroyed them. I found these gorgeous curtains on Etsy and the shop owner lives in the O.C. (Orange County) and I knew it was meant to be! (We moved to Colorado two years ago from Orange County) Her shop is called The Little Home. She also has great pillows:
set of two $23
$23.00 for one
set of two $58
$13.00 for one
I'm saving up for the 50''x84'' pair...my birthday is right around the corner:)
♥ Additional Lengths Available:
50" x 84" - $150.00 (pair)
50" x 96" - $165.00 (pair)
50" x 108" - $180.00 (pair)
*If your size desired is not listed please just convo me*

Thank you This LIttle House for making these amazing curtains!

Pinwheel Pencils

Valentine's Gifts for Carter's preschool teachers!
 {Supplies}
1. Pencils
2. Paper (any kind for pin wheel)
3. Tacks
4. Pin Wheel Pattern
5. Mason Jars
6. Ribbon
Step One: Make Pinwheel

How to make a pinwheel:

1. Cut paper to pinwheel pattern
2. Trace the square on the paper you want to use and cut the square out.
3. Cut on the solid lines only.
4. Cut the dotted lines from the four corners to the center circle. Try not to cut into the center circle.
5. Use a hole punch or tack to poke a hole through the four tiny dark circles. A pencil point also works.
6. Punch the 4 tiny holes on the four points that meet at the center circle.
7. Fold all holes together and hold with your fingers. Then place tack into the center hole to hold the pinwheel shape.

Step two:
1. Attached pencil. Put the tack in middle of pinwheel and stick into the eraser. I pinned it in on a diagonal. Make sure the tack does not come out the back and poke you!

Step three: Add ribbon to mason jar and add pencils

I hope his teachers enjoy these fun pencils!

Happy Valentines day!

My New Anthropologie Inspired Pillows

 I have been on the look out for new pillows for my couch for about a year now! I have had my eye set grain sack pillows from Pottery Barn but then I came across these pillows from Target on Holly Math Interiors. I loaded up the car with the two kids and headed to Target to get them ASAP! They were only $24.99 each which included the inserts!

 {I loved them because....}
1. The yellow mustard color really pops on my leather couches
2. Fabric roses make the pillow unique
3. They look like they came from Anthropologie
4. They were a great price

My pillow search is over and now onto the next!

This is the first time my husband is finding out I bought these? My love, what do you think?

How cute are they!

Coffee Lovers!

I love coffee! When I first saw a coffee filter wreath on Shell's Shabby Shack I knew it was on my 2011 project list! The first thing I do every morning is scoop 8 heaping spoonfuls of coffee in my french press, boil water, pour water and slowly press down to create a little piece of heaven:) I sip my coffee all morning while my two year is connected to my hip and my four year old begs for another cup of chocolate milk. When I look at this wreath it reminds me of the joy coffee brings to me!

Supplies:
One package 250 count of brown coffee filters .99 cents at Target
10 inch foam wreath (I got mine at the dollar store)
Glue gun with glue
Ribbon
Push pins

Step One:
Cover wreath with coffee filters

Step Two:
Cover wreath in random with filters. Pinch together and glue on:)

Step 3:
Fill in all the hole with more filters

Step 4:
Add ribbon with push pins to the back and hang up!

My office/playroom is coming together.

I would love to paint the room a light grey:

BEHR ALL IN ONE STUDIO TAUPE COLOR

that Melissa used in her living room on The Inspired Room.
Hey...a girl can dream right:)
