Pinwheel Pencils

Valentine's Gifts for Carter's preschool teachers!
 {Supplies}
1. Pencils
2. Paper (any kind for pin wheel)
3. Tacks
4. Pin Wheel Pattern
5. Mason Jars
6. Ribbon
Step One: Make Pinwheel

How to make a pinwheel:

1. Cut paper to pinwheel pattern
2. Trace the square on the paper you want to use and cut the square out.
3. Cut on the solid lines only.
4. Cut the dotted lines from the four corners to the center circle. Try not to cut into the center circle.
5. Use a hole punch or tack to poke a hole through the four tiny dark circles. A pencil point also works.
6. Punch the 4 tiny holes on the four points that meet at the center circle.
7. Fold all holes together and hold with your fingers. Then place tack into the center hole to hold the pinwheel shape.

Step two:
1. Attached pencil. Put the tack in middle of pinwheel and stick into the eraser. I pinned it in on a diagonal. Make sure the tack does not come out the back and poke you!

Step three: Add ribbon to mason jar and add pencils

I hope his teachers enjoy these fun pencils!

Happy Valentines day!
