Message Tray
I got inspired from the wonderful site called: {Shell's Shabby Shack} Shelly is so talented and very creative. I loved how she said, "Everything looks better with a tray!" because I couldn't agree with her more. So I decided to give it a try.
Step One:
1. Buy a tray! I got this for $1.99 at Goodwill and it needed some cleaning but I loved the price and the chunky legs which you can not see.
Step two:
2. Tape the edges and paint with chalkboard paint. I got the spray paint version for $5.99 at Michaels.
{I just used clear wrapping tape since I don't have blue painters tape and it worked fine:0}
3. Display for everyone to see:)
I want to {Give Thanks} to Shelly's wonderful ideas!

Wow...I have a ton of old trays that used to be my grandmother's and great aunt's...what a cool way to update them for everyday use!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out awesome! I like how you used the chalkboard spray paint, instead. Thanks for linking back...made me smile. I'm still trying to make the paper roses wreath. Haven't quite mastered it, yet. I'll be sure to link back, if and when I do. I just love your blog... you have fun ideas. Oh, and I'm not kidding about the ornament exchange...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! I need to come visit it tomorow in person! Maybe we should go to Goodwill tomorrow with the kids for fun and excitement!! Really proud of you and your blog sista girl!
